Word Study App by The Read Lab was designed to simplify high frequency word instruction and practice while reducing teacher prep and management time.

The app automatically identifies the specific high frequency words a student needs to practice, guides them through a structured multisensory routine, and prompts teachers when students are ready for reassessment.

How It Works
  • Students begin with a brief assessment
  • The app identifies unknown words and assigns targeted practice
  • Students receive no more than 5 focus words at a time
  • Students work through structured literacy / OG-style word study routines
  • Each word is practiced 3 times to support accuracy and automaticity
  • Students trace words in the app to support multisensory learning
  • After practice, students are prompted to return to the teacher for reassessment
